Dr. Farrell is a Scientific Investigator at Maidstone Consulting Group, LLC, bringing an interdisciplinary expertise in behavioral, systems, and computational neuroscience. His past research focused on uncovering the neural mechanisms of memory, motivation, and decision-making through a multi-level analytical approach. During his doctoral and postdoctoral training, Mitch used a range of techniques, including operant and Pavlovian conditioning, chemogenetics, optogenetics, in vivo electrophysiology, fiber photometry, immunohistochemistry, and computational modeling.
By integrating these diverse approaches, Mitch has developed the ability to analyze complex data from both biological and behavioral domains. His data-driven approach enables him to effectively address client questions by drawing on his comprehensive understanding of multiple data sources and levels of analysis. Mitch holds a BA in Psychology from The College of New Jersey and earned his PhD in Biological Sciences from the University of California, Irvine.
