William (Bud) Walsh, M.IS. is co-founder and Chief Operational Officer of Maidstone Consulting Group, LLC. He has over 20 years of experience in the management of IT systems, developing and maintaining advanced technology solutions to support operational strategies. His expertise includes Encrypted Telecommunications Systems (ETS) development, Information Reporting Systems, Business Intelligence, MS Windows Virtualization Technologies, Real-Time Database Management Systems, Learning Management Systems and IT/Web-Based application development and Media Support. As a veteran of the US Navy, Bud has additional specialty training in anti-terrorism operations and currently maintains Secret clearance (highest clearance Top Secret, Single Scope Background Investigation) with the US Armed Forces.
As an IT Professional, Mr. Walsh is an established leader in IT Systems management. He is currently serving as Information Systems Lead for the Finance and Contracting (FinCon) system for the US Air Force Materiel Command (Hanscom AFB), Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC). Previously, he served as a consultant to Microsoft (Geometrix Data Systems) to customize their Learning Management System (LMS) and develop install-ready Training Partner applications for the Geometrix Data Systems team. At Novellus, he served as a Business Analyst in the Technical Training Department, where he re-designed Novellus's enterprise LMS and designed and built a document dissemination and tracking database application utilized by their worldwide operations. Bud's Naval career working with Naval Special Forces spanned Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF) and Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF) where he specialized in design, development and testing and deployment of specialty IT systems including satellite radio and data communications with forward operators, secure land-line communications with US-based command centers. This work included development of Intelligence storage and access systems for group commanders, mission planning suites for immediate access to all available gathered intelligence and resources, and a tracking database used to issue and control the movement of Classified Cryptographic Information (CCI) equipment throughout the Iraqi theater.
